The
Mid Valley’s Local TV Station
KWVT
is a commercial television station
operated
by Northwest Television, LLC.
KWVT is licensed under part 74 of the FCC rules.
We presently broadcast an analog signal on UHF channel 17
from the Eagle Crest area, west of Salem, Oregon.
Either an indoor or outdoor antenna can be used to receive
KWVT.
KWVT provides a wide variety of programming to our viewers.
We also offer Video Production and Advertising services
at reasonable prices for local businesses and organizations.

KWVT
has installed a new transmitter and antenna, multiplying the signal
strength in the Salem area a whopping 17 times!
KWVT now provides a strong signal
to most of the residents of Marion, Polk and Yamhill
counties,
as well as a portion of Clackamas County. We even found some
locations in Linn county that can now receive KWVT.
Salem's
First Local Digital TV Station?
Northwest Television is preparing to launch
a new digital station on channel 16. Watch for it in late
May.
This will be Salem's first local Digital TV (DTV) station
providing high
quality community programming
for the Willamette Valley.

Low-Power TV stations are not required to switch to digital
in February 2009.
The date for converting channel 17 to digital
has not been set, but with our new digital station,
most of our viewers will be able to receive our programming
either analog or digital.
